Painting with mirrors
For me therapy is often about holding a mirror in front of the client, a mirror which reflects an additional shade of their story inviting a rethink.
The story I hear, see and feel in front of me goes through the filters of my own perception and interpretation, sometimes through my own language skills, before coming back as a reflection to my client.

Schilderen met spiegels
Voor mij is therapie een spiegel voorhouden aan mijn cliënt, een spiegel die een extra tint van haar/zijn verhaal weerkaatst en uitnodigt tot nadenken.
Het verhaal dat ik hoor, zie en voel gaat door de filters van mijn eigen waarneming en invulling, soms door mijn eigen taalvaardigheid, voordat het als een reflectie terugkomt bij mijn cliënt.

Het belangrijkste ingrediënt voor een positieve ervaring in therapie is een harmonieuze relatie tussen cliënt en behandelaar. We zijn allemaal verschillend en sommigen van ons vinden dat de relatie in een online behandeling minder dimensionaal is.
