Draw your feelings journey – week 28 – nostalgic

Nostalgie was voor mij terugkijken met een mix van gevoelens: verdriet, maar ook een sprankje zonlicht, een gelukkige herinnering gezien door de sluier van de tijd.

Soms was het een vertekend beeld – ‘de goede oude tijd’ – maar soms was het een blik op delen van mezelf die in de vergetelheid waren geraakt en waarmee ik mij weer wil verbinden.

For me, nostalgia was looking back with a mixture of feelings: sadness, but also a glimmer of sunshine, a happy memory seen through the veil of time.

Sometimes it was a distorted perception – ‘the good old days’ – but sometimes it was looking at parts of myself that have been forgotten, and with which I want to reconnect.
